ReCor Introduces Lotus Notes 6 Training Series
Evanston, Ill. (January 9, 2003) -- ReCor Corporation, a leading developer of corporate technology training solutions, today introduced its LearningDocs training series for Lotus Notes 6. The newest version of Lotus Notes provides end-users and administrators with a host of new capabilities and features designed to improve worker productivity. LearningDocs for Lotus Notes 6 equips users with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively use Lotus Notes 6, allowing organizations to maximize the return on their investment in Lotus Notes and Domino.
LearningDocs for Lotus Notes 6, the latest series of courses in ReCor’s popular LearningDocs format, works by building end-users' knowledge and skills throughout each step of the Lotus Notes 6 deployment process. It combines printable content, interactive E-learning, just-in-time training, and help desk support into an integrated learning solution that increases end-user proficiency, allowing employees to work more efficiently and productively.
ReCor’s Lotus Notes 6 training series consists of five LearningDocs courses, including two migration courses. The two migration courses are tailored to the needs of organizations migrating from Lotus Notes 4.x to 6 and organizations migrating from Lotus Notes 5 to Notes 6. The Lotus Notes 6 training series includes the following courses:
- Moving from Notes 4.5/4.6 to Notes 6
- Moving from Notes 5 to Notes 6
- Lotus Notes 6 - Standard
- Lotus Notes 6 - Advanced
- iNotes Web Access – Notes 6
As with previous LearningDocs courses, ReCor has designed LearningDocs for Lotus Notes 6 to work seamlessly with the Automatic Deployment Toolkit (ADT) developed by Wolcott Systems Group. By integrating ReCor’s learning content and technology into the ADT migration system, organizations experience the benefit of a complete migration solution that includes both automated deployment and training.
These courses take advantage of all of the features available in the newest version of LearningDocs (version 5.1). Administrators can set up the training as a comprehensive computer-based-training solution and track the progress of each user in the course. Built-in skills assessments are provided to allow organizations to test each user’s knowledge and skills (and optionally, to determine which users to upgrade to Notes 6 upon successful completion of the skills assessment). In addition, the Discussion feature allows users to communicate with peers and Help Desk staff to provide multiple layers of training support. To facilitate administration and deployment, LearningDocs for Lotus Notes 6 can be installed directly on the Domino 6 server that supports an organization’s Lotus Notes services, providing an integrated just-in-time training solution accessible directly from either the Lotus Notes client or a web browser.
The LearningDocs for Lotus Notes 6 courses provide complete instruction on using Lotus Notes 6, as well as full performance tracking for each student taking the course. As with all LearningDocs solutions, administrators can customize the rich text content by adding or modifying learning modules to reflect the way that Lotus Notes 6 is used in their organizations. In addition, multiple skills assessments can be created and customized by administrators to effectively measure the proficiency level of each user taking the course.
