ReCor Products Selected for IBM LearningSpace Initiative
Evanston, Ill. (June 22, 2001) -- ReCor Corporation, a leading developer of corporate e-learning solutions, announced that a number of the company's titles that run on LearningSpace are now included in IBM's new LearningSpace Partner Catalog.
The LearningSpace Partner Catalog is a searchable Web site that allows existing and potential LearningSpace customers to view titles from selected IBM Mindspan Solutions business partners, including ReCor. The Web site provides search capabilities to identify a course listing by subject, vendor, title, platform, and language. Each course listing provides customers with an overview of the course, the content provider, and purchasing information. The catalog, as well as more information on LearningSpace, can be accessed at www.lotus.com/lscatalog.
Among the ReCor course offerings included in the LearningSpace Partner Catalog are full series for Lotus Notes and Microsoft Office 2000 end user training. ReCor's courses utilize realistic simulations to teach users, and all courses are fully AICC compliant -- the leading industry standard for e-learning solutions.
LearningSpace is IBM's platform for e-learning. LearningSpace uses active server page technology and relational database structures to support the delivery and tracking of online, self-paced learning content. Self-paced courses can be highly structured, with controlled paths and prerequisite assessments. LearningSpace enables learners and instructors to work and learn together using discussion databases or via real-time virtual classrooms.
IBM, through its Mindspan division, is recognized as a worldwide leader in e-learning and, together with its partners, provides end-to-end e-learning solutions. "As an e-learning provider and Premier IBM partner, ReCor is excited about the momentum and business opportunities IBM is providing to its partners," commented Jack Kelly, CEO of ReCor.
